Aaargh! There Be Pirates! This week's video game releases
One major titles being released May 10. Captain Jack Sparrow is back for more adventure!
Since the "Lego: Pirates of the Caribbean" game features levels from all four movies, look for my review sometime next week. The game is rated E10+ for cartoon violence and comic mischief.

Slim pickings on the releases this week
Out April 5:
"Carnival Games: Monkey See, Monkey Do"
From 2K Games for 360, $49.99
I've reviewed several of the "Carnival" games for the Wii and, in my critical opinion, none of them were worth even a rental.
The franchise has sold very well, though. So, what do I know? The 360 version will use the Kinect motion-sensor controller, but with only 20 games, that means you're paying about $2.50 a game.
"Karaoke Revolution Glee: Volume 2"
From Konami for Wii, $49.99 (with microphone), $39.99 (without microphone)
Gleeks rejoice! Now you too can warble with Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) and the rest of the gang from McKinley High's New Directions glee club with a new set list. Konami hasn't release the songlist for the second volume of karaoke songs from the hit Fox show, but the game will feature "Bad Romance," "Gives You Hell," "Total Eclipse of the Heart," "Like a Virgin," "Dream On" and 14 others from the second half of the first season.
"Remington Super Slam Hunting Alaska:
From Jack of All Trades for Wii, $19.99
Damn you, Sarah Palin. I hear the words "hunting" and "Alaska" and all I see is this:
You have ruined hunting for me, Ms. Palin. I kid. I kid. It wasn't Palin. It was "Bambi."

"Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell 3D"
From Ubisoft for Nintendo 3DS, $39.99
Sneak around the North Korean peninsula as super-spy Sam Fisher as you try to prevent World War III (again). Now in 3D courtesy to the Nintendo 3DS.
The original "Splinter Cell" was a killer app for the original Xbox and 3DS titles have been fairly lackluster. Could this be the first "must have" for the 3DS?
